Independent Party of Oregon Announcement

I'm excited to announce that I have been nominated by the Independent Party of Oregon as their 2022 nominee for Senate District 10. This means I will appear on the ballot as cross nominated by the Democratic and Independent Parties.

The Independent Party of Oregon stated, “Deb Patterson is the person we trust to reform our health care system and improve public health in Oregon – especially mental health care. The problems we see on the streets? She is the person we trust to address them in a way that ensures compassion and protects public health and safety.”

I am honored to receive the Independent Party’s nomination. At a time where many are turned off by partisan politics, I have made it a point to collaborate with all of my colleagues in the Senate with the goal of creating a stronger and safer Oregon. As Chair of the Senate Health Care Committee, I know how critical it is that we put partisan differences aside and come together to do what’s right for Oregon. I look forward to continuing to do the essential work ahead of us to create an Oregon that works for everyone.
