"Energy and persistence conquer all things.” These words, attributed to Benjamin Franklin, still ring true and are needed now more than ever.

Courage and perseverance were required of us all to get through the pandemic, and we have faced other challenges, as well. Now, we need the energy and persistence to address the issues which remain – supply of affordable housing, availability and affordability of healthcare services, including mental health and substance abuse treatment, climate change, educational opportunities, support for older adults, public safety, and more.

I am certain that we have the energy and persistence to do this work together, and I look forward to continuing to work with you for an Oregon that works for everyone.
